Well, the waters off again! I can’t bare it when the waters off. I can live without electricity (not for long mind you) as we can cook on the wood stove, use candles for lights and can wash body and clothes with water boiled on the stove, but water….ugh living on a farm We wash our hands so much. The thought of coming in to the house and not being able to touch anything until we’ve washed our hands is so frustrating, not being able to flush toilets or put on the kettle for a cup of tea. Until I moved to my Husbands farm, I’d never had the water stop, and had never appreciated its importance. How can one liquid be so obvious yet hold so much power. Out of interest I asked my son what other things he couldn’t live without. I was seriously expecting to hear him mention the wii or the computer, but he surprised me (again) by saying “you” I was so touched. He then went on to name all his family.
This made me look at my family and friends, now in theory I could live without them, but in reality I need them for many reasons…for example…
To tell me when I’m out of order
For my mental well being
To share my highs and lows
To tell me when my dress is tucked in my knickers
To look at an outfit I have on and make comments like @I’ve seen mutton dressed as lamb, but never as chicken’ and roll around on the floor hysterically while I throw socks at them.
For me to cherish and care for.
A good friend is one that will bail you out of prison but a best friend will be sat on the bed net to you in the cell saying gee wasn’t that fun
This is just a small list of why I couldn’t live without my family and friends. I’d love to hear some of yours.
